"I wanted to play Chelsea" - Left-back praises Blues after signing four-year contract

By

Burnley left-back Charlie Taylor says he is already looking forward to play against the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United.

The 23-year-old joined the Clarets from Leeds United and signed a four-year contract.

Leeds offered him a new contract but he turned it down to make a move to Turf Moor.

"I've been there since I was nine and I knew it was the right time," he is quoted as saying by the BBC.

"There were so many things that attracted me to Burnley; it ticks every box and it was a no-brainer really.

"That's the huge attraction of the Premier League, just everything about it. Week in, week out, you are playing teams like Chelsea and Manchester United, so I just can't wait to get started."
