"He has flown back to the capital" - £70million midfielder makes move amid Chelsea transfer links

By

Marco Verratti has flown back to the French capital in an attempt to convince Paris Saint Germain to sanction his transfer to Barcelona, according to Metro.

The Italian has made it clear that he wants to leave the club this summer.

The French giants are determined to keep him at the club but the 24-year-old has already decided that he wants to embark on a new experience elsewhere.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United have all been linked with the Italy international.

But Barcelona are in pole position to secure his services.

Last week, agent Donato Di Campli said his client wants to keep a "low profile" before speaking with Paris Saint-Germain directors.
