Done Deal confirmed by club: Chelsea have secured the signing of striker wanted by Manchester United

By

Ajax have confirmed that young talent Daishawn Redan has left the club to join Chelsea.

A target also for Manchester United, Manchester City and RB Leipzig, the 16-year-old will join the Chelsea academy set-up.

Ajax head of youth Said Ouaali explained that the Dutch club was desperate to keep the youngster but eventually the striker decided to accept the offer made by the Blues.

"We have mapped out a path for him and there have been discussions with him and his management," Ouaali is quoted as saying by Goal.

"It is extremely regrettable, obviously they have something else on their minds.

"We have made every effort to maintain a great talent as Daishawn, but at some point it ends. We wish him all the best with the rest of his career."
