"Approved by Antonio Conte" - Chelsea have begun negotiations to finalise transfer of 160-goal world class striker

By

Chelsea have opened talks with Atletico Madrid to finalise the transfer of striker Diego Costa to Spain.

Metro claims that the Spanish giants are ready to pay £50million to bring the Spaniard back to the club.

With Atletico facing a transfer ban, they will have to loan our the striker for the first six months.

Costa's relationship with the Blues ended after manager Antonio Conte sent him an SMS in which he told him that his services were no longer needed.

"My relationship with the coach has been bad this season," Costa said last month.

"It is a shame, I have already forwarded the message to Chelsea people to decide."

The Blues are expected to replace the 28-year-old, who scored more than 160 goals in his career, with Everton striker Romelu Lukaku.
