Revealed: The date on which Chelsea will officially announce their first summer signing

Chelsea will announce their first signings of the summer on the first day of next month, Mirror has claimed.

Willy Caballero, Romelu Lukaku and Tiemoue Bakayoko have all been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge but the Blues are yet to make any signings.

Chelsea have also been linked with the likes of Leonardo Bonucci, Alex Sandro and Marco Verratti, three players wanted by manager Antonio Conte.

Striker Diego Costa is expected to leave the club with Everton's Lukaku the one identified by Conte to take over in attack.

Recent reports have claimed that the Italian is unhappy at how the club is managing this summer's transfer but a source close to the club made it clear that there is no problem between the manager and the directors.
