"I see myself at Chelsea" - Blues ready to offer £200,000-a-week deal to 25-year-old

By

Chelsea are ready to accept Thibaut Courtois' request for a £200,000-a-week contract according to reports in Italy.

The goalkeeper made it clear a few months ago that his desire is to stay at Stamford Bridge but he is expected to meet with the club to ask for a pay-rise.

The 25-year-old is currently away on international duty with Belgium and will meet with the Blues later on this month.

"I see myself at Chelsea, the club that six years ago saw me playing in Belgium and gave me the opportunity to sign for them," he said in March.

"They also allowed me to be three years at Atletico, which helped me to be the keeper that I am now.

"I feel that I'm key to the team, I'm very happy at Chelsea, and I don't see myself anywhere else."
