Chelsea in "shock offer" to sign Argentine star from English Premier League rivals

By

Chelsea have put a "shock offer" on the table to sign Manchester City goalkeeper Willy Caballero, Express Sport has revealed.

The Blues are still searching for a new goalkeeper after Asmir Begovic left the club to join Bournemouth.

The 35-year-old has been released by Manchester City at the end of last season and is looking for a new club.

Newcastle United have already approached the Argentine but for obvious reasons he would prefer a move to Stamford Bridge.

He made 27 appearances for Manchester City in all competitions last season, keeping ten clean sheets.

Meanwhile, the Citizens has confirmed that they signed goalkeeper Ederson from Benfica.
