Chelsea open talks with Serie A giants to secure shock transfer deal for striker

By

Milan have joined the race to sign unsettled Chelsea striker Diego Costa, according to reports in Italy.

The Rossoneri will invest heavily in the market after being taken over by Chinese investors and the Spain international is a major target.

But speaking to reporters at the start of the month, the 28-year-old has made it clear that he will only leave Stamford Bridge to return to Atletico Madrid.

"I will only leave Chelsea for Atletico," he said.

"If not, I will stay here. I'm not interested in other clubs.

"I know Chelsea wants to sell players, but I told them, I have two years left in my contract and I won't go somewhere else just because they want so.

"I will only sign for another club in Europe, they know that. Otherwise I'll stay with my current contract."
