Chelsea in opening offer to sign £50million Arsenal target: He is ideal for Antonio Conte's 3-4-3


Chelsea have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Juventus full-back Alex Sandro according to the Sun.

The 26-year-old started last night's Champions League final in Cardiff against Real Madrid.

He joined the Bianconeri for £22million from Porto during the 2015 summer transfer window, slowly establishing himself as one of the best players in Massimiliano Allegri's squad.

According to Metro, Sandro would be ideal for manager Antonio Conte's 3-4-3 system at Chelsea and looks ready to take on the challenges of playing in the Premier League.

Manchester City tried to sign the Brazilian during last summer's transfer window and are expected to again be in the race to secure his service this year.
