Confirmed: Club representatives already in London to finalise striker transfer deal with Chelsea

By

Lyon President Jean Michel Aulas has held a meeting with Chelsea to negotiate the possible transfer of striker Bertrand Traore, Get French Football News has revealed.

The 21-year-old's loan spell with Ajax is over and he will return to Stamford Bridge ahead of next season.

Lyon have made an official approach to sign former Arsenal man Carlos Vela but after Real Sociedad's negative answer they have shifted their attention to the Chelsea striker.

Last week, the youngster explained that his desire is to play for Chelsea but also that he will leave the club if he's not part of Antonio Conte's plans.

"I will go with the national team [Burkina Faso] and after that take some rest," Traore said.

"Then I will go back to Chelsea and have a talk – we will see. That's my hope [to be at Chelsea next season].

"That was the key when I came to Ajax – play as many [games] as I could, do well, and try to go back to Chelsea.

"I think I had a great season but I don't decide to stay at Chelsea or move. I will see what my future will be."
