Chelsea's Roman Abramovich plots sensational offer for Arsenal star - he could win Chelsea the Champions League

By

Winning the English Premier League and possibly the F.A. Cup is not enough for Chelsea manager Antonio Conte who wants his side to be a major contender for next season's Champions League.

The Independent believes the Blues have identified Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez as their primary summer objective ahead of next season.

The Chilean is yet to extend his contract at the Emirates amid rumours that he wants to leave the club because he wants to win trophies.

The 28-year-old was again one of the best players for Arsenal this season but is unhappy with the situation at the club.

In April, boss Arsene Wenger made it clear that the North Londoners will not sell him to a Premier League rival.

"I don't think you would sell him to any Premier League club, that is for sure," Wenger said two months ago.

"But as I have said, I think he will stay and sign a contract."
