Breaking: Chelsea's £21million target undergoes medical and signs four-year contract

By

Chelsea target Antonio Candreva has left Lazio to join Internazionale on a four-year contract.

Reports in June claimed that the Italian winger agreed personal terms to join the Blues after a private chat with Antonio Conte during the 2016 Euro Championship.

But he says he always wanted to join Internazionale after landing in Milan ahead of the transfer to the Nerazzurri.

"I always wanted Inter, we'll see if we can make the Champions League," he is quoted as saying by Football Italia.

"It's an incredibly strong emotion.

"Now I'll go and have my medicals, then sign my contract.

"Roberto Mancini? No, I haven't spoken with anyone yet. I always wanted Inter and I'm extremely happy.

"The pitch will tell whether we can qualify for the Champions League. Forza Inter, I'll see you soon."

Internazionale confirmed the transfer on their official website and also revealed the shirt number the 29-year-old will wear at the club: 87.
