Chelsea in first move to finalise huge £50million deal for big-name striker

By

Chelsea have lodged a £50million transfer bid for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku according to Metro.

The Blues have already added Belgium's Michy Batshuayi to their squad but according to reports they are still chasing Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata and Everton's Romelu Lukaku.

The 23-year-old would be delighted to make a return at Stamford Bridge but only if he is certain to enjoy regular first team football in Antonio Conte's squad.

The Toffees paid £28.5million to sign the Belgium international from Chelsea during the 2014 summer transfer window.

He featured for Belgium at the 2016 Euro Championship, scoring two goals to help his team reach the Last 8 of the competition.
