Chelsea table £60million offer to sign Antonio Conte's primary summer target

By

Real Madrid have rejected a £60million offer from Chelsea for striker Alvaro Morata, Calciomercato.it has revealed.

Atletico Madrid have also made an offer for the 23-year-old, offering Jose Gimenez in exchange but their offer was also rejected.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has refused to confirm that the youngster will enjoy regular first-team football this season.

"He [Morata] is another member of this team. He's back and I'm happy to have him," Zidane told reporters.

"He is an academy product, who knows what Real Madrid is and truthfully we are, and me above all, happy to have him with us.

"Later we'll see [if he will play regularly].

"We have a large squad and all the players will be important. Alvaro will be one more of the team."
