Chelsea have submitted an offer to conclude deal for Arsenal midfielder target

Chelsea have moved swiftly to open talks over signing midfielder N’Golo Kante, the Telegraph has reported.

The Leicester City midfielder is a target for a number of top European clubs including Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was full of praise for the midfielder during the Euro 2016 Championship.

Kante enjoyed a very positive campaign in Claudio Ranieri's title-winning side last season.

Chinese club Shanghai SIPG have already placed a £35million offer to secure the services of the 25-year-old but he is reluctant to leave European football to play in China.

The Blues have already added Belgium international Michy Batshuayi to their squad but they are expected to add at least three more players before the end of the summer transfer window.
