Striker confirms he will be at Chelsea next season because he wants to play under Antonio Conte

By

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has confirmed that he will be at Stamford Bridge next season hence rubbishing reports claiming he will return to Atletico Madrid.

According to the Telegraph, the 27-year-old has told Chelsea team-mates that he will not leave the club during the summer transfer window.

The Spaniard has struggled for form last season and was left out of Spain's Euro 2016 squad.

Chelsea have been linked with a number of world class strikers so far this summer.

Alvaro Morata, Romelu Lukaku and Gonzalo Higuain have all been linked with a possible move to Stamford Bridge.

It is unclear whether manager Antonio Conte has plans to keep Diego Costa at the club although the signing of Michy Batshuayi could suggest that he will use the Spaniard as his main man in the offensive department.
