Antonio Conte wants this impressive Euro 2016 star to join him at Stamford Bridge

By

Antonio Conte wants Graziano Pelle to join him at Chelsea after the striker starred for him at Euro 2016, the Evening Standard has revealed.

The 30-year-old enjoyed a very positive tournament in France although he missed from the penalty spot against Germany on Saturday.

He is expected to leave Southampton and recent reports have claimed that he would be delighted to join Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge.

Last week, the striker was full of praise for the 46-year-old manager.

"We all expend a lot of energy but when we win it's all worth it," Pelle said.

"He prepares the game well and is working hard – it's difficult to explain just how good he is.

"He works very simply, he doesn't complicate things. He's been a footballer himself so he knows how to explain parts of the game and he is realistic because he has been there as a player."
