Chelsea manager Antonio Conte open to finalise £13m transfer for defender

Lazio are reportedly set to table a £13m bid for Chelsea defender Baba Rahman according to the Daily Star.

The 21-year-old struggled for form since joining the Blues from Augsburg last summer.

He only played 23 games for Chelsea and is not part of Antonio Conte's plans according to reports in England.

Last week, Udinese midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu declared that the Ghanaian would improve if he stays at Chelsea to work under new manager Conte.

"Baba Rahman will perform 120 per cent well under Antonio Conte [at Chelsea] next season," Agyemang-Badu told Starr FM.

"This time he will join Chelsea for pre-season, something he did not get last season. So I am sure he will do very well under the new coach."
