"I have not heard from my manager yet" - Chelsea given boost in chase to sign Manchester United man


Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian has revealed that he is yet to have a private chat with new manager Jose Mourinho.

The 26-year-old is one of the many players chased by Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.

He enjoyed a very positive start to last season but struggled for form after suffering a shoulder injury in February.

He says he will respect his contract and that his focus in on doing well at Old Trafford.

"Today I am a United player," Darmian told reporters.

"I have a contract and I think I will continue next season. But I have not heard from [Jose] Mourinho."

Recent reports have claimed that Mourinho would be ready to sell the Italian but only if the Blues offer midfielder Nemanja Matic in exchange.
