Chelsea have discussed terms with the France goalkeeper Steve Mandanda over a transfer that could speed Asmir Begovic’s departure from Stamford Bridge, the Guardian has revealed on Wednesday.
The goalkeeper is ready to leave Marseille this summer to try a new experience in a foreign league.
He is currently in action with the French national team at the Euro 2016 Championship.
"Abroad would be something good at 31," the goalkeeper said last month.
"It would be a nice adventure on both a sporting and a personal level. The two leagues that interest me most are the Premier League and La Liga."
