Chelsea set to announce new signing after three-year contract agreed

By

Chelsea will soon announce the arrival of Stephen Lichtsteiner from Juventus amid rumours that Internazionale have joined the race for the Swiss international.

New manager Antonio Conte has offered the 32-year-old a three-year contract to convince him to join the Blues.

The defender will be replaced by Silvan Widmer at Juventus according to recent reports in Italy, especially after the 23-year-old's agent confirmed that his client is ready to play for a "big club".

"It's just rumours, as Silvan has a contract with Udinese," Fredy Strasser told Calciomercato.it.

"[But] he is ready to play for a big club and I hope he can be a regular for for Switzerland at the European Championships in France."
