Deal close: Chelsea ready to finalise deal with Liga club for transfer of attacking midfielder

By

Chelsea are close to reaching an agreement with Real Betis for the transfer of attacking midfielder Charly Musonda Jr, journalist Kristof Terreur wrote on Twitter.

The Belgian is yet to make his debut at Stamford Bridge having joined the Spanish side on loan during the January transfer window.

His future with the Blues remains unclear and since new manager Antonio Conte cannot guarantee regular football to the youngster, he will be loaned out for yet another season.

Last year, his father did make it clear that his son will never stay at Chelsea unless he will enjoy regular first-team football.

He was a target for French giants Monaco and Standard Liege before making a move to the Spanish Liga.
