Chelsea confident of making France superstar Antonio Conte's first summer signing

By

Chelsea have made an official approach to sign Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, Bein Sports' Jaime Macias has revealed.

According to Macias, the Blues have offered £79million to secure the services of the Frenchman.

It is not the first time a source confirmed that Chelsea have made contact for the player.

Get French Football News revealed at the start of the week that they are "in constant contact with Paul Pogba’s entourage" and are indeed ready to make an offer higher than £70million.

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri was coy on the player's future during an interview on Italian TV show "Che Tempo Che Fa".

"I won football and basketball battles with Pogba," Allegri joked.

"He challenged me for a boxing match but I'd rather pass.

"If he will stay? Yes, he will, well, let's hope he stays."
