Jose Mourinho: Latest injury update on Diego Costa and Pedro ahead of Liverpool game

By

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho says striker Diego Costa and winger Pedro will undergo a late fitness test this morning.

The two are major doubts ahead of today's early kick off against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

But the Portuguese in confident they will be given the go-ahead to feature against Jurgen Klopp's side.

"We are going to wait," Mourinho said.

"I am a little hopeful, if not I wouldn't take them to the hotel and go for a last test.

"They [Liverpool] were a good team, they are a good team. They had good players, they have good players. They had a very good manager, they have a new very good manager.

"Everything is the same. They have changed some details obviously in their tactical approach, but this is the nature of the game, especially when you are thinking and speaking about two top managers.

"When you change a top manager to another top one the level is high. They know what to do, there is just a little bit of difference about the way they think about football."
