Chelsea sign Nantes defender and agree £4m deal for Michael Hector

Chelsea have signed Nantes defender Papy Djilobodji for a reported fee of £4m.

The 26-year-old has signed a four-year deal at Stamford Bridge according to Nantes' official website.

"As with Jordan Veretout, Djilobodji joins the Premier League and the ranks of the champions. Nantes extend their congratulations and wish him well for the rest of his career," the club statement said.

Meanwhile, Goal.com has reported that the Blues have also reached an agreement to sign Reading defender Michael Hector.

The 23-year-old will become the second defender to sign for the Blues on deadline day.
