Chelsea midfielder admits he wants to leave to enjoy regular football

By

Chelsea midfielder Lucas Piazon says he wants to leave the club to enjoy regular first-team football elsewhere.

The 21-year-old spent the last three seasons on loan to Malaga, Vitesse and Eintracht Frankfurt and is ready to leave on a permanent basis after struggling to enjoy regular football at the Bridge.

"I don't want to stay there [at Chelsea]," he told ESPN Brazil.

"It will be a waste of time being there, play one game every two weeks. I would rather leave and play all games this year.

"It was once meant for me to be the new number 6 at Chelsea. I would only stay for a while in Brazil, then I would go to England. But then I came back here, then I went back there.

"I prefer to play for a team where I can develop myself and where I basically can play almost every week."
