Former Chelsea striker: Mourinho will become the ultimate messiah if Falcao succeeds at Chelsea

By

Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino says Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will become the "ultimate messiah" if striker Radamel Falcao rediscovers his lethal touch in front of goal.

The 29-year-old moved to Stamford Bridge after a very disappointing campaign at Old Trafford last season.

At Manchester United, the Colombia international scored only four goals in 29 games with the Red Devils deciding against making his move permanent.

And Cascarino, who spent two seasons at Stamford Bridge in the early 90s, believes Falcao is a gamble for Chelsea.

"Mourinho will become the ultimate messiah if he pulls that one off and he does well for them," Cascarino is quoted as saying by Express Sport.

"Is this the ego of Mourinho getting the better of him?

"If Louis van Gaal, who's a mate of his, doesn't want to sign Falcao, can you transform him? He couldn't transform Fernando Torres."
