Lyon president says Arsenal and Chelsea target is "untransferable"

Olympique Lyonnais defender Samuel Umtiti is not for sale, president Jean Michel Aulas has confirmed.

The 21-year-old impressed last season in the Ligue 1, attracting the interest of several European clubs including Arsenal and Chelsea.

But Aulas insists that the Frenchman is "untransferable".

"Samuel is one of the untransferable players," Aulas told After Foot RMC.

"We are discussing an extension that will do much to evolve the team.

"Sam has become a mainstay of the team physically and mentally.

"He is part of a group of players like Corentin Tolisso and Anthony Lopes that we will extend come what may."
