Jose Mourinho: I think we will see the best Cuadrado next year

By

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho says new signing Juan Cuadrado will only show his true potential next season for the Blues.

The 26-year-old was a winter transfer market signing for Chelsea, joining from Fiorentina for a fee which could rise to £26.8m.

And the Portuguese believes that the Colombian needs months to settle down in the English Premier League.

"He is selected [for the Everton game]," Mourinho said.

"I know if he will start or not [tonight] but I won't say.

"It's normal, step by step, to be integrated. He needs time. I know Italy and I know the difference between Italy and England.

"His formation, his development, his experience – everything was in Italy.

"I wasn't expecting him to come on to the pitch against Aston Villa and destroy them. Stability, time, integration – I think we will see the best Cuadrado next year."
