Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho says Petr Cech will be given a rare start in the Premier League when the Blues host Hull City on Saturday.
Regular goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois suffered a muscular problem in training and is ruled out of Saturday's home game against the Tigers.
"Cesc [Fabregas] has been amazing for us but he's suspended for tomorrow so we don't think about him. We trust the other players," Mourinho said.
"[Thibaut] Courtois is not available tomorrow. He had a little problem in training. A muscular problem. But it is a minor problem.
"It is a chance for Petr [Cech] and a chance for Mark [Schwarzer] on the bench. He had our confidence even when Courtois was playing. We know what we have, he has absolutely nothing to prove.
"I don't think any one player will play all six matches [between now and 1 January], maybe some will play five but I have to give them some rest."
Meanwhile, Mourinho denied that Milan want to send striker Fernando Torres back to Chelsea.
"I don't know, but he's on loan for two seasons at AC Milan," the Portuguese said.
"He is our player, but he is on loan and we have no space for more players on our list, either in the Champions League or the Premier League. That's an impossible picture.
"But I have to say nobody from AC Milan has said about that possibility, so probably nothing is true and more than possibly he is happy at Milan and Milan are happy to have him."
