Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho says the English Premier League is a "crazy" game after a hard-fought draw against Manchester City.
Andre Schurrle came off the bench to give the Blues the lead in the 71st minute but parity was restored when Frank Lampard made his way in the Chelsea penalty area to meet James Milner's cross.
"We were winning the game against 10 men, but the same 10 men had a fantastic reaction and gave everything to try to equalise," Mourinho told the BBC.
"When the game gets emotional the numbers are not so important. When the game is tactical - yes they are important.
"We scored, we had the game seemingly under control, we hit the post but then they scored.
"At that point the game was emotional and in that period they were psychologically stronger than us and in the end a draw is maybe a fair result.
"The Premier League is not just different, it is crazy.
"You have Chelsea 6-3 against Everton, Manchester United winning 3-1 and losing 5-3 to Leicester.
"The Premier League is becoming crazy. This was a big game. When the result was 0-0 I was thinking even 0-0 can be a big game."
Lampard decided not to celebrate the goal but Mourinho says he doesn't believe in "passion and heart" stories.
"Frank Lampard is a Man City player, I don't believe in stories of passion and heart," the manager told Sky Sports.
"Maybe I am too pragmatic in football. When he decided to go to a direct competitor to Chelsea then love stories are over. He did his job as a professional.
"He got a good reception and this is England and this is Chelsea. Chelsea people never forget what Chelsea people do at the club. It happened to me when I was manager of Inter. It is Chelsea's culture and beauty."
