Oriol Romeu: I could extend my stay in Germany

By

Chelsea midfielder Oriol Romeu could leave Chelsea to make his move to Stuttgart a permanent one at the end of this season.

The 22-year-old signed a new contract with the Blues this summer but was immediately loaned out to the German side during the transfer window.

The Spaniard never managed to secure a regular place at Stamford Bridge since joining from Barcelona and could decide to stay at Stuttgart even after his loan spell expires next year.

"Maybe I am staying for a longer period of time," Romeu is quoted as saying by The Express.

"You cannot rule anything out in football.

"I have experienced a technically demanding game in the Spanish league, football in England is more physical, and the Bundesliga is a mixture of that.

"My ambition is to quickly learn the German language."
