Chelsea striker offered in part exchange for Mattia Destro

By

Chelsea are ready to offer £20m plus Fernando Torres on loan to sign young Italian striker Mattia Destro from Roma.

Considered by many as one of the most promising youngsters in Italy, the 23-year-old scored 24 goals in 49 appearances for the Giallorossi despite spending months on the sidelines during his two-year stay at the club.

The striker was in top form this week as he scored twice in a 3-3 draw against Fenerbahce but reports in Italy have suggested all summer that his future lies away from the Rome club.

In the meantime, winger Andre Schurrle rubbished rumours about his future as he confirmed he is happy at Stamford Bridge and ready to lift titles with Jose Mourinho's side.

He is quoted as saying by Mirror: "I am hungry, I want to achieve something with Chelsea.

"I want to win titles with Chelsea. So I worked hard these two weeks."
