Arsenal and Chelsea ready to place bid for 19-year-old midfielder

By

French sources are convinced Adrien Rabiot is leaving Paris Saint Germain with Arsenal and Chelsea both considering a move for the young midfielder.

The player's contract expires in the summer of 2015 and with the 19-year-old opting not to extend it this summer, the reigning French champions are ready to listen to offers.

Available for £5.5m, the youngster would give more midfield options to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

The Frenchman would welcome a new player in midfield after a number of injury concerns in this department last season with Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere both spending weeks on the sidelines.

Italian side Roma are reportedly also interested in the Frenchman.
