Chelsea to offer £35m for 22-year old midfielder

By

Chelsea are ready to offer £35m to hijack Arsenal's bid for William Carvalho, according to A Bola.

The Sporting Lisbon defensive midfielder has been linked with a possible move to Arsenal or Manchester United this summer but Jose Mourinho's side are ready to splash the cash to add the youngster to their squad.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Petr Cech is ready to leave Stamford Bridge after he was relegated on the bench for last week's opening game of the season.

According to reports in Spain, Paris Saint Germain and Monaco are both ready to make an offer for the 32-year-old experienced goalkeeper who has no intention of spending a full season on the bench.
