"Arsenal agree deal in principle" - Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign international star, Unai Emery is a long-term admirer

Arsenal are set to make a move for Juventus right-back Stephan Lichtsteiner according to one of the best transfer market expert.

Italian reporter Gianluca di Marzio has claimed that the Gunners have already reached an agreement to sign the player.

The player himself confirmed at the start of the month that he is leaving Juventus.

"My future will be outside of Italy. I won't say where yet, as I haven't signed," he said.

The 34-year-old would bring a lot of experience to a relatively young Arsenal defence.

He would add competition to an area where Hector Bellerin impresses when the Arsenal team is pushing forward but is often found lacking when there is defensive work to do.
