Official: Arsenal have completed the transfers of "athletic right-back" and "pacy left-back"

By

Birmingham City have official announced on their website that Carl Jenkinson and Cohen Bramall have joined the club on a season-long loan deal.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has made it clear at the end of last week that he needed to trim his squad.

Jenkinson, 25 and Bramall, 21 will add depth to Harry Redknapp's squad.

An announcement on the Blues' website described Jenkinson as an "athletic right-back" and Bramall as a "pacy left-back".

"The defensive pair bolster the options for manager Harry Redknapp and are eligible for cup competitions," a club statement said.

"Jenkinson, 25, is an athletic right-back who can also play in central defence.

"Bramall, 21, is a left-back who has pace in abundance and has broken into the Gunners First Team squad.

"Jenkinson will wear number squad number 22 and Bramall number 15."
