"Medical scheduled for this week" - Arsenal target set to fly to London to complete transfer

Arsenal target William Carvalho is expected in London to sign for West Ham United.

The Sun has claimed that the Portugal international will undergo a medical this week ahead of his move to the English Premier League.

Carvalho has been heavily linked with Arsenal in July.

But the Hammers are ready to smash their club record to bring the talented 25-year-old to London.

He has a reported £40million release clause in his contract which West Ham are ready to activate.

Bilic's side endured a nightmare start to their Premier League campaign as they suffered a heavy defeat against Manchester United.

But they are determined to build a strong squad so as to qualify for next season's Europa League.
