Ian Wright: I want Arsenal to sign this player to be Sead Kolasinac's partner in defence

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has urged the Gunners to make a move for defender Virgil van Dijk.

The Southampton man will leave the club during the summer transfer window.

He made it clear that he was disrespected by the Saints and wants to leave to join a "top club".

"I wish Arsenal would come in," Wright told Radio Five Live.

"Looking at [Sead] Kolasinac, he looks pretty sturdy.

"I wish we could get someone like Van Dijk [as well].

"I can't understand why Southampton are playing this much hardball, it's not like they don't sell players."
