"I am flattered" - Has this midfielder dropped his biggest hint yet that he will join Arsenal?

By

Eintracht Frankfurt starlet Aymen Barkok says it is flattering to be linked with Arsenal.

The 19-year-old has been linked with a move to the Emirates with recent reports claiming that manager Arsene Wenger is an admirer.

Barkok says no official request was made by the Gunners but he would be eager to embark on a new experience in the English Premier League.

"To be honest, I learned from the press [about Arsenal]," Barkok told German outlet Weisbadener Kurier.

"I have not received a request yet. But, of course, I am flattered.

"It would be great to play in the Europa League or Champions League.

"But that is still a long way away. I have to prove myself in the Bundesliga."
