Manager Arsene Wenger confirms £320,000-a-week star will be at Arsenal next season

By

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists that striker Alexis Sanchez will not leave the club this summer.

Recent reports have claimed that Manchester City are ready to offer a £320,000-a-week contract to the Chilean.

But the Frenchman is not amused with all the speculation surrounding the 28-year-old.

"My mind has been made up for a while now," Wenger told reporters.

"I think I've made it clear a few times that this is my stance [he will stay at Arsenal].

"Sanchez has got one year to go on his contract and we have no need to make money. He will be part of the team next year and after that I can understand it.

"We are in a strong financial situation so we want to keep our best players. Has he asked to leave? No."
