"Arsenal on brink of massive signing" - Personal terms already agreed with the player

Arsenal are reportedly closing in on the signing of Monaco star Thomas Lemar according to Express Sport.

The winger is one of the main targets for manager Arsene Wenger who is eager to add the youngster to his squad.

Monaco have made it clear that the player is not for sale but the Gunners are determined to make one last attempt to secure his services.

The France international scored 14 goals in all competitions last season and was one of the key players in the side that reached the Champions League semi-finals.

On Thursday, vice president Vadim Vasilyev said: "I will address speculation relating to the case of Thomas Lemar.

"He is staying with us.

"He is an immense talent and is essential for the team.

"We have kept all of the key players that we intended to keep."
