Agreement reached and contract signed: Arsenal announce deal for "technically gifted player" is done and dusted


Young Nathan Tormey has signed his first professional contract with Arsenal, the club has announced.

The 17-year-old grew up in Tottenham Hotspur's youth set-up but joined the Gunners at under-12 level.

The youngster is a versatile winger who can play who can play on both flanks.

A statement on Arsenal's website reads: "Congratulations to Nathan Tormey, who has signed his first professional contract with the club.

"Nathan, 17, is a technically gifted and pacey winger.

"A boyhood Arsenal fan, he joined our Hale End academy at under-12 level.

"We all look forward to Nathan's continued progress with the club this season."
