Medical and contract to be signed early next week: Arsenal to complete transfer in the next 72 hours

By

Bordeaux manager Jocelyn Gourvennec has confirmed that the French giants will sign Wellington Silva next week.

The striker was re-signed by Arsenal from Fluminense but they will sell him straight away.

The Gunners triggered the £3million clause earlier this month and will sell him for a reported fee of £5million.

"Wellington Silva is expected to arrive this weekend and sign with us early next week after his medical visit," Gourvennec said.

“It took a bit of time, but he should be with us.

"After that we will still have some work to do but I will not detail this now."

The 24-year-old enjoyed loan spells at Levante, Alcoyano, Ponferradina, Murcia, Almería, Bolton Wanderers and Fluminense in recent seasons.
