Race won: Arsenal have won the battle to sign 33-goal striker wanted by Manchester United

By

Arsenal are reportedly closing in on 16-year-old Feyenoord prospect Joshua Zirkzee, according to reports in the Netherlands.

Ajax and Manchester United were also interested in the youngster but it seems the Gunners have won the race to sign him.

He joined Feyenoord from ADO Den Haag last summer but he is now ready to embark on a new experience in England.

Feyenoord want to keep the player at the club but it seems he has already taken his decision.

Zirkzee scored 33 goals in 27 games for Feyenoord academy last season and caught the attention of a number of top European clubs.

The youngster will join Arsenal’s academy if the transfer goes through.
