"I've always dreamt of playing for Arsenal" - Striker still hopeful of making switch to the Emirates

By

Everton striker Henry Onyekuru has again confirmed that he is a big Arsenal fan.

The Nigerian joined the Toffees this summer but was immediately loaned out to Anderlecht.

He was full of praise for Arsenal club legend Thierry Henry as he confessed that his dream is to one day play for Arsenal.

He was heavily linked with a move to the Emirates this summer but he eventually decided to join Ronald Koeman's side.

"I've always dreamt of playing for Arsenal and a lot of pressure was put on me," he told Belgian news outlet Sporza.

"After the last game for Eupen, I went to the [Nigeria] national team camp and I was always thinking to find the best solution for my career next season.

"I have been an Arsenal fan since I was a little boy.

"I loved watching Thierry Henry, not just the name. Up till now I still go back to YouTube to watch his videos. Most times before games at Eupen I go through his videos to watch and learn and do it on the pitch."
