"Ready to make a move" - Arsenal to soon open talks with Borussia Dortmund to complete striker transfer

By

Borussia Dortmund are ready to make a move to sign Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud.

The Frenchman is expected to leave the club during the summer transfer window.

The Gunners have already added striker Alexandre Lacazette this summer and are determined to also sign Kylian Mbappe from Monaco.

The 30-year-old confirmed earlier this week that his future remains unclear even though he is with the rest of the Arsenal squad in Sydney.

"I honestly don't know," the striker told Sky Sports when asked about his future.

"At the moment I'm still an Arsenal player so I'll try to be professional like always and prepare well for next season.

"Obviously there will be more competition, even more than last year, but it's always nice for a striker to feel the pressure and I always deal with it.

"I've been through some difficulties these last years but always succeeded to bounce back, but this one I don't know. I don't know about my future so I can't tell you more. I'm focused on my pre-season."
