"Arsenal have tabled an offer" - Gunners make offer to sign player wanted by Arsene Wenger

By

Arsenal have tabled an offer for Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Aymen Barkok, according to Metro.

The 19-year-old is one of the most wanted young players in Germany.

Manager Arsene Wenger has been monitoring the midfielder for more than a year and has finally decided to make a move to sign him.

Speaking about the youngster, Eintracht sporting director Bruno Hubner told UEFA.com earlier this year: "He is an athletic player with good technique.

We are confident he will take that successful next step in his young career at our club."

Coach Niko Kovac added: "You can tell he has a lot of great attributes.

"He is a dream footballer, a great guy. If you look at his qualities, it is fair to say Frankfurt have a gem in their ranks."
