"I am convinced it will happen" - Club president says striker will complete Arsenal transfer

By

Deportivo de la Coruna president Tino Fernandez is convinced that Arsenal striker Lucas Perez will return to the club.

Fernandez says it may not happy this summer but he is determined to bring the 28-year-old back to the club that made him one of the most prolific strikers in Europe.

"I do not hide that I would like Lucas to return, but it is not easy," he is quoted as saying by Club Call.

"He has a high contract, he is in a club that has paid a lot of money for him and we will see what happens.

"I have never hidden it and if we could we would do it, if it can be this year, it will be this year and it will not be next, but I am convinced that Lucas will return to Deportivo someday."
