Unstoppable Arsenal! Arsene Wenger in £70million transfer bid to sign two players wanted by rivals

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is ready to make a £70million bid to sign Gelson Martins and William Carvalho according to reports in Portugal.

The two have been respectively linked with Liverpool and Manchester United.

Gelson Martins, 22, has impressed at the Confederations Cup as he helped Portugal clinch third place in the competition.

Liverpool are ready to offer £44million to sign him according to recent reports.

William Carvalho, 26, is a defensive midfielder who would certainly add depth to an area that has struggled in the first part of last season.

He is available for £25million and was last season scouted by Manchester United.

Jose Mourinho is a big fan of his compatriot although it now seems that interest from the Red Devils has cooled down.
